The semantic layer provides a consistent, governed interface for AI agents that consume enterprise data. Yet, implicit definitions make it difficult to see shared meaning and scale governance across teams. Without an ontology-driven semantic layer, you can’t model shared understanding directly into your data architecture.

In this session, we take a practical, engineering-focused approach to building a semantic layer on Neo4j with ontology at the core. We’ll explore how to design and evolve ontologies that model context and relationships as first-class elements, moving from fragmented semantics to explicit meaning.

See how graph intelligence:

  • Helps you build flexible and semantically consistent systems

  • Enables richer context and more reliable data access

  • Provides a stronger foundation for AI-driven applications
